Today, Federal Member for Bass, Ross Hart has launched an online form for people in the Northern Tasmanian electorate of Bass to comment on their experience and concerns with respect to Aged Care, so as to assist in the drafting of the terms of reference of Aged Care Royal Commission.
Mr Hart said “today I received a letter from the Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care seeking that I advise as to specific issues which I wish to raise on behalf of the people of Bass with respect to the consultation process”.

“There are a number of concerns that people have already raised with me over the last two years, these concerns have been expressed by residents, children of residents and workers in the aged care sector”.
“There are a number of things we can fix right now, in a speech I gave yesterday in Parliament I called on the Government to immediately implement the Aged Care Workforce Taskforce’s “A Matter of Care” strategy”.
“I don’t want our elderly to simply be considered to be on life support, they deserve a decent quality of life,” Mr Hart said.
